My daughter’s school had a fundraiser at Chick Fil-A tonight. She wanted to go soooooo badly but I knew we only had about $9 left for the week in my $80/week challenge. I had already given in to taking my girls to Dunkin’ Donuts after their H1N1 flu mist today. I just couldn’t justify yet more money spent on fast food. But, I gave in and we spent our last $9 for the week. I’m so glad I did!
As I’m walking in the door my “coupon radar” started going crazy. What was that I saw? Buy a $20 gift card and get a calendar for free. But this was no ordinary calendar, this calendar had $30 worth of coupons inside. So, spend $20, get $50? I had to do it!
Here’s what you’ll find inside the calendar: (coupons may vary by market)
- Free Lg Sprite
- Free Lg Diet Coke
- Free Lg Coke
- Free Lg Coke Zero
- Free Md Lemonade
- Free small milkshake
- Free Dasani water and small fruit cup
- Free chicken salad sandwich
- Free chick-n-minis (3 ct) or Free Lg waffle fries
- Free chicken sandwich
- Free chick-n-strips (3 ct)
- Free chicken biscuit or small bowl of chicken soup
The only restriction is “one coupon per person per visit.”
The fine print also says, “Please use between ____ and ____.” The dates printed on each coupon match the calendar dates of the month that the coupon appears. I asked the manager how strict these dates were and she said you can use them whenever you’d like through the end of 2010.
So, I spent about $9 on the girls and I to eat and used my free chicken sandwich coupon from the calendar to take dinner home to my DH.
Here’s my thought… what a great teacher gift, gift for employees, gift for anyone who loves Chick-Fil-A!
