The pineapple has always been a symbol of hospitality and luxury.
When I was surfing through Pinterest the other day, I stumbled upon a post from diy-enthusiasts.com. I fell in love with the idea of creating a DIY Pineapple Wine Bottle Gift Tutorial. How amazing is it to make a bottle of wine, champagne or sparkling apple cider covered in chocolate truffles to look like a pineapple! How over-the-top decadent is that?
What an amazing hostess gift for the New Year or a unique (and delicious) birthday, new home or just because you are so awesome gift! Sign me up!!
DIY Pineapple Wine Bottle Gift Tutorial
What you will need:
- A bottle of wine, champagne or sparkling apple cider
- Gold wrapped Ferrero Rocher chocolate truffles (I used around 36, you may want more if you are covering the whole bottle)
- 1 pack of green tissue paper
- Burlap ribbon
- Glue gun
Instructions:
1. Begin hot gluing your chocolates around the bottom of your wine bottle working up. I did not cover the front label of my wine bottle so my friend, whom I was giving the gift to, would know what kind of wine it was. If you plan on covering the whole bottle with chocolates you will need around 2 dozen (48).
2. Cut out your pineapple leaves from your green tissue paper to cover the top of your wine bottle. I used around 7 leaves. Hot glue your leaves to the top portion of your bottle.
3. Tie a thick burlap ribbon in between the leaves and the chocolates.
4. I then added more chocolates underneath the ribbon to finish the pineapple off.
Whoever you decide to make this for, they will love it. They may even hold off opening the wine or eating the chocolates for a bit because it is so dang cute to look at! Enjoy!!

I want to make centerpieces. I tried to make but the foil wrap chocolate falls off after awhile. How to reinsert to the brown paper cup? I would appreciate anyone’s input.
