Keurig Machines.
They are a wonderful thing. They make coffee on demand. It’s always hot. And you can choose the flavor of coffee, hot cocoa or tea you want.
K-Cups, on the other hand, are not so wonderful.
It’s amazing to me that something so little can be so stinkin’ expensive. And then I stumbled on a little known secret for how to get cheap k-cups.
The secret isn’t so secret, actually. It’s been hiding in plain sight. In fact, you’ve been staring at it every morning.
It’s your Keurig Machine. Confused? Don’t be. Follow these few steps and you will receive four large boxes (around 96 k-cups) for $30 with FREE shipping (which is just over $.30 each).
The Little Known Secret On How To Get Cheap K-Cups
Step 1: Register your Keurig Brewer online at Keurig.com. You will need your serial number, which on the bottom of your brewer. Use an email that you check often.
Step 2: You’ll receive a welcome email from Keurig, which includes a unique coupon code from Keurig for Buy Two Boxes, Get Two Boxes FREE. In addition, you will also get FREE SHIPPING and the 10% Coffee Club discount on all K-cups you purchase.
Step 3: Shop for Your K-Cups. Add four large boxes (22, 24 or 25 count boxes) to your shopping cart. You can mix and match brands and flavors, but add the more expensive of the boxes to your cart first. The Buy Two, Get Two FREE offer is not eligible for the 80-count value-size boxes.
Step 4: Proceed to checkout and enter your unique code. The 10% club discount and FREE shipping should automatically apply. BOOM!!! You now have a small stash of really good k-cups for under $30.
BONUS WAYS TO GET CHEAP K-CUPS
But, at some point, you will run out of those k-cups (probably in under 45 days if you drink coffee like me) and that will require you to buy k-cups again.
Here are some additional resources for how to get cheap k-cups.
1. Check out our Best Online Price for Cheap K-Cups. We update this list each week with the best deals on the internet – with prices starting at $.33 each.
2. Ekobrew. It is a reusable k-cup coffee filter. Buy your favorite ground coffee, put it in the Ekobrew (but don’t overfill it) and get the Keurig experience without the expensive k-cup. If you have multiple coffee drinkers, my advice is to buy multiple Ekobrews. We have (2) Ekobrews to every (1) coffee drinker. Or, if you only want to have one Ekobrew, you can purchase paper liners. While they are not necessary (you can brew a good cup without them), they do help regulate the amount of fine grounds that get into your coffee and makes clean up a breeze. (If you have the Keurig 2.0, you can find reusable k-cup filters here.)
3. San Francisco Bay Coffee K-Cups through Amazon Subscribe & Save. I’m always in shock that this coffee isn’t more expensive. I love the San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser and for around $.34 per k-cup, you can’t beat the price. Extra bonus, it gets delivered to your door. So skip everything else and just drink this coffee every day.
Renee H says
I am excited to try the SF Bay kcups. I added them to my Amazon subscribe and save and they are only 30c a kcup! What a GREAT deal!! Thanks for sharing!!
Kelly says
You’ll love it Renee! Such great coffee at such a great price.
Kathleen Meyer says
I am debating between the San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser and the French Dark Roast.
Any suggestions? I do like strong coffee!
Kelly says
That’s HARD…but I would say the Fog Chaser is my favorite.
Kari says
Bummer! I hadn’t heard of this and just registered my Keurig last night. I received a welcome email, but no code to receive B2G2, just the blanket statement that I’ll get 10% off future orders. I’ve never ordered for Keurig, so this is disappointing!
Kelly says
Kari – Check your spam. There are two emails. One with a welcome and then a second with your coupon code. I just registered my new Keurig in December and it was still an active promotion.
Traci Prince says
I did not get this offer. I got an offer for 50% off of 24 pods or more up to (5) 24 pod packages with free shipping if I spend 35 dollars so I got (5) 24 pcks of pods various flavors and it came to alittle more than 35 dollars so I got free shipping.
RobertTheTexan says
Hi Kari,
I just registered my Keurig and it was actually right on the page where you register that it said, buy two boxes and get two boxes free. Here is the name off the email, I just got mine: Your Keurig.com Registration Coupon: Buy 2 Boxes, Get 2 Free
I believe when I logged into my account and I hadn’t registered my brewer it showed up.
Hope that helps.
Robert
Hallie Emmons says
If you missed or did not receive your code for the two free boxes of k-cups, just contact them via e-mail. I had to do that because my code only gave me one free box instead of two. The deal is that you buy 4 boxes and 2 are free. This also includes free shipping. Mine are on the way to me now. I was amazed at the good consumer service.
Kelly says
Thanks for commenting about your experience! And I’m glad you are getting your cheap K-Cups.
Jim says
They had a problem generating the bonus codes right after Christmas. If you registered and did not get the code, you should have received an apology and code in the last couple of days. Code is good for 1 year if I remember correctly.
Kelly says
Thanks for that clarification, Jim. Appreciate you jumping in and helping out.
Shannon says
Thank you so much of this great advice! I followed your steps exactly and now wait excitedly for the lovely package to arrive. Especially looking forward to trying the Caribou brand.
Kelly says
Woot. Woot. Love getting cheap k-cups.
Ashley Pichea (PicheaPlace.com) says
We LOVE our Keurig and use our Ekobrew refillable cups (we purchased a 3-pack from Amazon) almost exclusively. I buy a pound of my favorite premium coffee grounds for around $8-10 and it lasts me about a month (1-2 cups a day). It’s a great way to save money on coffee!
Sarah says
I just wanted to chime in that the SF Bay K-cups are awesome! I live in an apt complex that has a Keurig at the clubhouse and offers free k-cups and they give us those kind. The red ones are the best (fog chaser I think).
Kelly says
Yep, that’s Fog Chaser. And I agree, it is the best. 🙂
Rosie says
Ok, while this is somewhat of a good deal, I generally pay $4.99 for 18 count boxes which means 96 k-cups would cost me around $26 and there’s no waiting since I buy them in the grocery store. AND even better, sometimes there are coupons which make them less. Whenever I see k-cups on sale for $4.99, I grab at least two boxes.
Kelly says
Wow, Rosie. We never see k-cups that low in Kansas at the grocery store. The best we see is $4.99 for a 12-count which makes them $.41 each.
Kris says
Does Ekobrew fit 2.0 s
Kelly says
Kris – I do not believe so.
Bert says
Kelly, Amazon does have a refillable cups for the 2.0’s now. The following is copied
from the item description, but there are a couple different kinds.
FROZ-CUP 2.0 – 4 Refillable/Reusable K-Cups for Keurig 2.0 – K200, K300, K400, K500 Series and all 1.0 Brewers…
Bert says
They also have them for the Carafe’s too, “Copied” from Amazon,
Fill N Save 2 Pack Reusable Carafe K-Cups. Reusable coffee filter for the Keurig 2.0, K200, K300, K400, K500 Series…
Kelly says
Awesome. Thanks for the update.
Edith says
They don’t but if you search for “kcup hacks” you’ll find instructions on how to hack the cups so that you can use them 🙂
Kat says
I did register my keurig right after I got it, Every time I tried to get the B2G2 it would not let me. I finally gave up. I was very disappointed. Emailed them and never got resolution. I still love my machine, but do not do any business with the website.
Kelly says
Kat – Some people had issues with the email going into SPAM. Have you checked your spam folder?
Happy Boy says
Love this! Totally worked. Note: Make sure you register your Keurig to get the email with the 2 free box discount. You won’t get that email if you do not register your Keurig.
Thank you! Been wanting to get k cups but was low on budget.
Julie Mancini says
Lovely! (just an expression). It certainly works. Even for my old Keurig. Just ordered 5 boxes (3 teas and 2 coffees), to save on the shipping. Thank you for sharing the information. Been a Keurig user since the coffee pod era :-), where I had to order them outside the US. So after thousands of dollars in Kcups, nice break!

So in love with you right now!! Getting all of my favorites for 1/2 off!! *Happy Dance*
Kelly says
That makes me happy. I remember the first time I figured this out…it was like ANGELS started singing.
David says
Thanks so much for the tip!
I had a K145 sitting in a cupboard the last 1.5 years or so, waiting for my old unit to die. Old unit had been making funny noises for a while now, so I just switched it out and then ordered up 96 pods for under $30. FANTASTIC deal
Kelly says
LOVE when that happens!!
Kelly says
Nice article and very helpful. Your cover photo is actually the Nescafé dolce gusto genio or piccolo – not a Keurig. Amazon has a replacement for the dolce gusto as well.
George says
UPDATE – The deal is even better now. Upon registering your brewer, now the promo code is good for 1/2 price on up to *5* boxes of K-cups. I just ordered mine tonight!
Thanks a lot for sharing the info about registering for this bonus!
Dave O says
Thanks! I just saved $35 on cups, and received free shipping. Very happy I found your site!
Mark Harris says
I just registered mine, and saw no such deal. Perhaps it has been discontinued?
My two emails didn’t really show an offer of any kind other than noting that members get special deals.
Dana says

Raymond Lyle LaRue says
I have seen those K-Cups in the Bon Ton, a local clothing store for 25.99, just blew my mind, when at Wal-Mart they run around 11.74. Best deal I ever had on them was at TJ-Max for 4.99, and that was a close out sale.
Raymond Lyle LaRue says
by the way forgot to mention the 18 count.
MARY FRANCES DUVALL says
I registered my brewer and never got the coupon. I got the welcome email but no coupon. Yes I checked my spam and my inbox and no coupon..sad!!!
Shawn says
I just registered mine and was given a code. You have to look closely or you may miss it. Also, I used the Chrome add-on called “Coupons at Checkout” and it applied another code that took an additional 15% off.
Technology is your friend.
Libby Margoluis says
My question is can the above 4 step process to save on K-cups be repeated as often as desired?
Or is the above a one time offer?
Kelly says
It’s a one-time offer.
Michael says
Current offer is 50% of up to 5 packs of K-Cups, plus free shipping. Just registered our Christmas gift K575 this morning.
James says
Try amazon!!!! Found k cups for as low as 21 cents per cup. Definitely better than over 30 cents. And it’s good coffee too!!!
