Apple Crisp and Apple Acorn Squash

The purpose of What’s For Dinner? is to provide you a recipe with items on sale this week, with no more than 10 ingredients (not including pantry items), and coming in at under $10 per meal.

It’s fall. It’s official.

With fall, comes cooler weather, shorter days, and an abundance of local apples.

You can pick them in the orchards, the farmer’s market, or the local grocery store. But Honey Crisp, Jonagold, Gala, and the like are everywhere.

So in honor of the abundance of apples – I’m gonna give you a couple of my no-fail, really-yummy apple recipes.

Serve with ice cream and expect “oohs” and “ahhs”.

Serve with meat, chicken or pork. Warning – your kids may actually eat squash.
