The two most popular questions I get about Swagbucks are…

“Is Swagbucks for real?” and “I love Swagbucks – How can I earn MORE?”

The second one kind of answers the first one, doesn’t it?

I will admit that I was a late adopter to being a Swagbuckler because I thought Swagbucks sounded like a big scam and my mama said “if it seems to good to be true, it probably is…”

But I was wrong.

It is for real.

And over the next few days I hope you will learn a couple of new ways to earn Swagbucks with my Top 10 Tips and Tricks to Earn More Swagbucks.

But, let’s start at the beginning.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is an online rewards program.

You can earn Swagbucks by searching the web with the Swagbucks Toolbar, entering Swagcodes from the SwagBlog, SwagFacebook, or SwagTwitter sites, and some other random activities like watching videos or entering your birthday.

Once you accumulate 450 Swagbucks, you can redeem it for a $5 Amazon gift card, as well as for other gift cards from Target, Starbucks, Southwest Airlines, CVS and more.

Tip #1: Refer Your Friends

Swagbucks has an amazing referral program.

You earn matching Swagbucks (up to the first 1,000 Swagbucks) for each referral.

And while I’m at a huge advantage because I have a blog, you can still earn referrals (and earn) if you have a Facebook page, Twitter account, or email address.

Start sending out invites to everyone you know (annoying – a little – but its for FREE stuff). Here’s how:

  1. Once you have signed up for Swagbucks, go to “Invite Friends” located on the left sidebar.
  2. Choose how you want to connect with them – Facebook, Email, Twitter, etc.
  3. Send out a request.

I recommend updating the status of your own Facebook Page with your referral code (which you can find on the main Swagbucks page –> Promote –> Promote Banners) when you win Swagbucks or when you receive a gift card.

If people see you are earning FREE stuff – they will want in on the action too.

Tip #2: Install the Swagbucks Toolbar

The Swagbucks Tool Bar makes it easier to accumulate Swagbucks.

For those who are fearful,  the toolbar does not slow down your internet or make your computer go WONKY.

In addition to earning Swagbucks when you use the toolbar for your internet searches, you receive one Swagbuck each day when you open your browser.

For example, as I was typing this post, I searched for Big Boned Women (it’s all about the honesty here) and was rewarded with six Swagbucks.

Downloading the Toolbar

  1. Log in to your Swagbucks account.
  2. Click the Toolbars tab on the left side of the page.
  3. Click the big purple box that says “DOWNLOAD”.
  4. Choose if you want to use Swagbucks as your default browser. I don’t have it as my default browser – but know lots of people that do.
  5. Start searching.
